Summary:The water ring vacuum pumps are used widely in chemical and phamacy areas for its characteristics in the work principle and structure. Normally, the operating liquid of the water ring vacuum pumps are almost discharged out directly or drained into the big circulation pool. By this method, the water supply and discharge connection is very simply and easy to operate, so it is used commonly in the real application.

 

But to discharge the operating liquid out directly has some disadvantages as bellow while the medium pumped containing the organic solvent or poisonous substance.

  • While the water ring vacuum pump works, the gases pumped and the operating water is mixted. So the discharged water contains much solvent or poisonous subtance. Further, the much water discharged, more heavier pollution to the environment.
  • The water containing the solvent or poisonous subtance will set out much harmful gases, and encrease the environment pollution.
  • The solvent pumped is not easy to reclaim and wasted much.

  For these above reasons, more and more chemical and pharmacy enterprises change to use the 2BW series package units.


The 2BW package unit is composed of 2BV or 2BE series liquid ring vacuum pump, seperator, heat exchanger, some pipes and valves etc.. Comparing the single liquid ring vacuum pump, the installaion is more convenient. Because the liquid ring circulates, to use the closed system can decrease the liquid consumed volume largely and reduce the environment pollution efficiently. So the advantages are more obvious when the gases pumped containing organic solvent or poisonous substance. In fact, the 2BW package unit can be used widely in many conditions.

The operating liquid of the 2BW series package unit can use various of organic solvent, such as, the water, methanol, alcohol, zylene, anilin, acetone, and transformer oil etcc..

(one works and another prepares)

Firstly, the gases is pumped from the inlet flange N1.2. Secondly, the gases is compressed and mixted with much operating liquid, then the mixture passes the discharge pipes(170) and flow to the separator(080). Finnaly, the mixture is divided in the separator. The gases goes out the system from the flange N2.2.
The separator(080)is designed with level meter(230)which denoting the liquid level in it. The normal level is limited from the max. to the min(determined by the level meter's visible scope). If the level is lower, the liquid will supply through the portN3.3;if the level is higher, the liquid will discharge from the overflow port4.0. So the liquid level in the separator is sured by this method.

The discharge port N4.6 is used to drain the liquid in the separator(080)and vacuum pump(010)thoroughly.
The function of the operating liquid is to form the liquid ring in the vacuum pump. The liquid passes through the pipes(260)and the separator(080), then flow into the exchanger(130). After cooling down, through the pipes (280), the liquid reback to the pump. During the process, the heat that produces from the gases compressed and accompanied itself is released.
The 2BW package unit is designed to make the two vacuum pumps(010) use the same one separator (080) and one exchanger(130). (note: one pump works, another prepares). When one pump works, the butterfly valves on the suction and discharge pipes of the other prepared pump must be shut off. In general, the unit is composed of one pump(010) and one exchanger(130).
